    Not quite sure that I would but Bernanke, Trichet, and Zhou on this list. Policy choices aside, the choice to put these three so high on the list caught my eye because I don’t think that simply holding the title of central banker during a financial crisis should qualify a person to be a top 100 global thinker. The United States economy is still “sputtering” and Europe still hasn’t found a solution to their debt crisis. Granted, these men do have very tough jobs, and its questionable how much their policy choices can actually affect economies (see http://www.foreignpolicy.com/articles/2011/11/28/it_aint_easy_being_a_central_banker?print=yes&hidecomments=yes&page=full). But I think the people on this list should be ones who are recognized for their vision and their innovative solutions, not simply for holding a high title at a tough time.
